Primaverii Neighborhood

Primaverii Neighborhood, one of the most expensive and select in Bucharest, is located in sector 1, in the northern part. The first homes in Primaverii Neighborhood were built in the 1930s. At first it was a neighborhood for civil servants, because the gas and electricity plant parceled out the territory of the former park. Later, it distributed it to its employees so they could build houses. The plots generally had between 250-400 sqm, and the houses were not allowed to have more than a ground floor and one upper floor. In its history of over 80 years, the neighborhood went from working-class to a paradise of the nomenklatura. Also in this area is one of the most renowned high schools in Bucharest: Jean Monnet High School. It was built in 1963, in a very modernist style for that period. Primaverii Neighborhood has access to Aviatorilor Square, Dorobanti Square and Charles de Gaulle Square.
