Aviatiei Neighborhood
The Aviatiei neighborhood is a small district located in the northeast of Sector 1, built after 1980, with 3- and 4-story apartment blocks. To the north, it is bordered by the Baneasa neighborhood; to the south lies the Floreasca neighborhood; the eastern boundary is marked by the Pipera neighborhood. To the west is King Michael I Park of Romania. The main streets in this neighborhood are Barbu Vacarescu, Nicolae Caranfil, Soseaua Pipera and Captain Aviator Alexandru Serbanescu Street. To improve traffic flow, several streets have become one-way streets. Nicolae Ceausescu wanted personnel from the army, police and aviation to live in this neighborhood. In recent years, numerous office buildings and bank headquarters have appeared in this area. In 2008, construction of the Floreasca City Center complex began. Two of the neighborhood's areas of interest are those where the Aviation Museum and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China are located. Among other imposing buildings in the area are the headquarters of the Authority for State Assets Recovery and Oracle Tower. The neighborhood is home to the metro station and Aurel Vlaicu Market. Divaro Company recommends the Aviatiei neighborhood for real estate investments!
